Black Thought and Danger Mouse announce collaborative album

Cheat Codes features contributions from MF DOOM, Raekwon, Kid Sister and more.

The RootsBlack Thought and Danger Mouse have announced the release of a long-rumoured collaborative album.

Cheat Codes is poised for arrival on August 12th and will mark Danger Mouse’s first full-length foray in to hip-hop since his critically acclaimed 2005 collaborative album with the late MF DOOM. Among the slew of collaborators set to accompany the pair on their forthcoming project are Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon, SAULT component Kid Sister, Michael Kiwanuka, Run The Jewels and DOOM.

A press release details the project as “an album untethered to any genre, era or trend — uncategorizeable and timeless. It is the sound of the pair observing their own culture and asking questions they still may not have the answers to.
