DIIV announce tenth anniversary expanded physical edition of debut album Oshin

Featuring Zachary Cole Smith’s original demos, two live recordings and a 24-page retrospective booklet.

DIIV have announced plans to ring in the tenth anniversary of their debut album Oshin with an expanded reissue of the widely praised project. Pressed to blue marble vinyl and limited to 5000 copies, the looming physical edition will present the album in its original form alongside a second disc comprising Zachary Cole Smith’s original demos and two live recordings and a 24-page retrospective booklet featuring photographs and reflections from all band members and the writer of the original ‘Oshin’ poem.

Speaking of the reissue Smith explains

“Oshin is our first album. It came out ten years ago and because of that we have decided to put together a very nice and very intricate and thoughtful 10th anniversary edition of the album for you. We are packaging it alongside my homemade demo recordings and a few unreleased live recordings from one of our first shows. It has new art by our friend Parker Sprout and it has some writing from the members of the band, the writer of the original Oshin poem, and an expansive meditation on the history of the album from Shaad D’souza. We hope you enjoy it.”

DIIV’s reissue of Oshin releases digitally on June 24th via Captured Tracks with physical editions shipping in August. Pre-order the album here.
