The band’s tour will encompass stops in New York, Seattle, Los Angeles and more.
Lauded Boston indie rock band Karate have announced plans to embark upon a tour of the United States. Adulated for their disparate, jazz-flecked sound, the group remained enduring fixtures of the underground over their twelve year lifespan before disbanding in 2005.
Comprising eight dates, the newly announced tour will mark Karate’s first live performances in seventeen years. Geoff Farina and his cohorts will begin the itinerary on July 7th in their home state of Massachusetts before continuing on to New York, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more.
News of Karate’s return to the live circuit follows a recent reissue campaign overseen by Chicago label The Numero Group featuring several key releases from the group’s discography.
