Lias Saoudi releases book chronicling the journey of Fat White Family

Written in collaboration with decorated author and journalist Adelle Stripe.

London-based musician Lias Saoudi has released a new book written in collaboration with author and journalist Adelle Stripe.

Ten Thousand Apologies: Fat White Family And The Miracle Of Failure is a biography that chronicles the career of Fat White Family, the praised, inventive and confounding band that Saoudi has helmed alongside guitarist Saul Adamczewski and a rotating cast of cohorts through a multitude of trials, tribulations and successes since 2011.

Saoudi first made reference to his work on the book that would become Ten Thousand Apologies: Fat White Family And The Miracle Of Failure in early 2021 during a conversation with fellow musician Raf Rundell for NME’s Friends Like These series. Saoudi and Stripe had previously collaborated for a book written by the latter and published by Rough Trade Books in 2019 entitled Sweating Tears with Fat White Family.

Surrounding the release of Ten Thousand Apologies: Fat White Family And The Miracle Of Failure Saoudi will embark upon a tour to discuss his new project in conversation with a number of guest interviewers. The stint will culminate in an appearance at London’s Rough Trade East on Tuesday 22nd March where Saoudi will be joined by Stripe.

Thereafter Fat White Family will regroup for a series of intimate shows in Manchester, Leeds and Huddersfield announced this week and surrounding scheduled Spring festival appearances.
