We Out Here enlist BADBADNOTGOOD, Eddie Chacon, John Carroll Kirby and more for 2022 lineup

The celebrated UK festival returns to Abbots Ripton in August.

We Out Here Festival has signalled its return following a sell-out sophomore event in 2021.

Helmed by DJ and tastemaker Gilles Peterson in collaboration with his globally celebrated projects Worldwide FM and Brownswood Recordings, the festival has quickly garnered widespread attention and become a staple of the UK festival calendar since its 2019 inception, promoting an eclectic curation of jazz, funk, soul, disco, hip-hop, all facets of electronic music and beyond.

Unfolding over the weekend commencing August 25th We Out Here Festival confirms that for a third year, it will once again commandeer the green surroundings of Abbots Ripton with an impressive programme to hand. Among the first 80 artists announced to perform at the festival’s 2022 event are recently returning Canadian jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD, underground soul icon Eddie Chacon, chameleonic pianist and producer John Carroll Kirby and enigmatic rapper John Glacier. Meanwhile London’s fervent jazz scene remains well represented with scheduled appearances from emotive saxophonist and producer cktrl, Shabaka HutchingsThe Comet Is Coming and award winning multi-instrumentalist Emma-Jean Thackray.

  1. Hiya, The line up has completely changed for the festival, most notable is that BBNG and comet is coming are no longer there. We Out Here haven’t provided an explanation for this.
