The Isley Brothers perform for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series

The seminal group perform four songs from a discography that spans over fifty years.

Multi-era-defining family band The Isley Brothers performed songs from their storied discography for the latest episode of NPR‘s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series.

Recorded at their home studio in St. Louis, Missouri and headed by surviving original members Ronald and Ernest Isley the performance sees the seminal group effortlessly ease through a curation of music that perfectly encapsulates the scope of their cultural impact and indelible legacy, unleashing renditions of ‘Between The Sheets’, ‘Footsteps In The Dark’, ‘For The Love Of You’ and ‘That Lady’ complete with nods to The Notorious B.I.G. and Kendrick Lamar who famously flipped the bookending songs of the setlist.

The Isley Brothers are currently in the midst of a North American tour which is set to culminate with an appearance at Snoop Dogg and Live Nation’s Once Upon A Time In LA Fest alongside fellow funk and soul luminaries in Al Green, George Clinton, Zapp, Morris Day and The S.O.S. Band.
