‘Okay’ leads the project’s announcement.
New York songwriter Aaron Maine will release his latest album as Porches on October 8th.
A curious and ever-changing talent that has deftly journeyed the realms of sombre indie rock, guttural club rhythm, gauzy DX7-flecked pop balladry and beyond over the span of his burgeoning and relatively short career to date, Maine’s latest return marks yet another left turn as heard within the project’s direct, commanding and ephemeral leading single ‘Okay’.
All Day Gentle Hold ! was crafted over a two year period that culminated in the grips of the circumstances presented by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Discussing the project’s creation Maine elaborates,
“I recorded this album in my room between October 2019 and April 2021. The world was flipped and I wanted to make something injected with as much love, urgency, and lust for humanity as I possibly could.”
