Under The Weather lands on September 10th.
Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist Peter Sagar has announced the release of a new Homeshake album.
Marking his fifth album to release under the praised solo moniker, the aptly titled Under The Weather was created in 2019 as Sagar navigated the grips of a lengthy and debilitating depressive bout spent confined to the space between the four walls of his previous home in Montreal. Conjuring candid, introspective lyricism that would ultimately prove prophetic due to the isolating conditions that were cast upon the world during the year that followed, the album pairs the musician’s familiar sentiments with infectious melody, languid rhythm and a vocal delivery shrouded in sedative hues to great effect as heard in the preceding ‘Vacuum’.
Mixing duties for Under The Weather were helmed by friend and collaborator Jerry Paper whose efforts were enlisted by Sagar to support a conscious shift from the crystalline production value of the album’s 2019 predecessor Helium.
Accompanying the arrival of new music Sagar has also revealed plans to embark upon a comprehensive tour of North America in support of his forthcoming album’s release. The schedule is set to unfold between March and April with stops in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Chicago and more.
