Michael Seyer announces new album and North American tour dates

The DIY mainstay will join Men I Trust on an itinerary that journeys through the United States and Canada.

Los Angeles-based bedroom pop stalwart Michael Seyer has returned with the announcement of a new album entitled A Good Fool. Marking the follow-up to 2018’s Bad Bonez, Seyer’s latest body of work was tracked whilst in the grips of the isolating landscape cast upon the world in 2020 by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

A deft reacquaintance with Seyer’s serene and sultry compositional sensibilities, ‘Little China Boy’ ushers in the forthcoming album’s announcement through a compelling juxtaposition of revealing lyricism that recounts the musician’s experiences as a person of Asian descent in America and understated musicality that pairs tranquil, warbled guitar and pattering rhythm.

Coinciding with news of the album Seyer has also confirmed plans to tour alongside Canadian counterparts Men I Trust on a comprehensive route of North America that begins in September. The itinerary will see live performances unfold in Montreal, Chicago, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, New York, Toronto and more.

A Good Fool releases independently on September 24th. Pre-order the album on pastel blue vinyl here.
