Mndsgn shares new full band performance of Rare Pleasure songs

Featuring the accompaniment of Kiefer, Swarvy and more.

This week has seen the release of Mndsgn‘s eagerly-awaited new album Rare Pleasure, and to mark the event the eclectic LA beatsmith has grouped a cast of his contemporaries to translate the project’s songs to the live format.

Deftly traversing the stylistic cues of samba, jazz fusion, library music and beyond, the visual finds Mndsgn situated within the leafy confines of horticulturalist Ron Finley’s ‘Gangsta Garden’ with accompaniment from the likes of Kiefer, Swarvy and Devin Morrison for renditions of ‘3 Hands’, ‘Hope You’re Doing Better’, ‘Slow Dance’, ‘Masque’, ‘Medium Rare’ and ‘Colours Of The Sunset’.

See the group’s languid and disparate performance below.

Rare Pleasure is out now via Stones Throw Records. Purchase the album on CD and vinyl here.
