Friendly Fires and The Advisory Circle side project The Pattern Forms reconvene for sophomore album

Hear and purchase The Scenic Route now.

Friendly Fires and The Advisory Circle components Ed Macfarlane, Edd Gibson and Jon Brooks have reignited their seldom seen collaborative project The Pattern Forms for the release of a sophomore album entitled The Scenic Route.

Bolstered by accompaniment from the newly recruited Tom Moth, The Scenic Route sees the group tap further into a shared affection for library music, the resultant work cultivating a masterfully woven tapestry of contemplative and enveloping harp and synthesizer textures that are underpinned by a heartbeat of understated but vital rhythm.

A disparate and rewarding listen capable of both lulling in to a transfixed state and conjuring groove-induced head nodding, stream and purchase the album digitally below.

The Scenic Route is out now digitally with a vinyl release expected to follow via Belbury Music.
