The comprising works mark the first to be shared through Spalding’s Songwrights Apothecary Lab.
Grammy Award-winning jazz extraordinaire Esperanza Spalding has shared a new body of work entitled Triangle. Comprising three songs, the project arrives with an accompanying visual and marks the first to release through Spalding’s new endeavour the Songwrights Apothecary Lab.
The basis for Triangle was developed during an artist retreat built and led by Spalding on the grounds of a 5,000-acre property in Portland, Oregon before being refined within recording sessions at the studio of neo soul stalwart Raphael Saadiq who guest features on the project alongside Justin Tyson, Phoelix and the revered Wayne Shorter of Weather Report and The Jazz Messengers fame.
Spalding notes that music within the newly released project may appear on a forthcoming album scheduled to arrive this fall.
