Pond conjure an intoxicating state of delirium on new single Pink Lunettes

A new metamorphosis in the chameleonic band’s ever-changing sound.

Australia’s Pond have returned with the release of a heady new single.

‘Pink Lunettes’ marks Pond’s first new music since 2019 and demonstrates another left turn in the chameleonic band’s ever-changing sound with motorik rhythm and bubbling synths quickly conjuring an intoxicating state of delirium. The band released their eighth album Tasmania to widespread acclaim in 2019 whilst longstanding component Jay Watson released his Laurel Canyon-nodding fifth album as Gum last year.

Speaking of their new release Pond frontman Nicholas Allbrook explains “I think we managed to jitter along the neon tightrope between totally unhinged, strobing spontaneity and focused forward momentum”.
