Seminal drummer Ahmir ‘Questlove‘ Thompson has announced a new MasterClass on DJing and music curation.
Available now via the MasterClass website, the founding Roots component’s course spans thirteen parts and is noted to offer insight in to fundamental DJ techniques, equipment, guidance on expanding your musical vocabulary and how to artfully blend different genres of music within the context of a playlist or mix.
In a coinciding press release Questlove states
“It’s one thing to listen to music, but it’s another thing to embrace it and have it come to you. Nothing will take the place of the passion that I feel for music, and I hope my MasterClass will open up a portal in your heart so that you learn to love music, find it and appreciate it.”
