Black Country, New Road share new debut album preview titled Track X

For The First Time lands on February 5th.

Black Country, New Road have shared a new preview of their looming and highly-anticipated debut album.

Entitled ‘Track X’ the London-based septet’s latest offering marks a deviation from the tense and gnarled, post-punk and noise rock-oriented sonics of its predecessors, instead favouring subdued and delicate melodic lines that carve a fleeting moment of respite in the final stretch of what is quickly establishing itself as an early contender for album of the year shortlists.

Speaking of the group’s new song, bandleader Isaac Wood elaborates

“‘Track X’ is a song we first worked on in 2018 but one that never made it out into our live performances. We decided to resurrect it during the recording of For The Tirst Time and assemble it in the studio. The story is old but a good one and worth telling. We believe that people will enjoy singing along.”

Alongside the release of ‘Track X’ Black Country, New Road have revealed plans for a live streamed performance set to unfold from the illustrious Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in the heart of London. Taking place on March 6th, tickets granting access to the stream are available to purchase from Dice now.
