Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky and the Godfather of Punk Iggy Pop feature in a short film from revered Italian fashion house Gucci in support of their new tailoring campaign.
Captured in February by Harmony Korine of Kids and Gummo fame, the visual and its accompanying photographs see the two rappers arrive at the Californian home of Iggy and his pet parrot Biggy Pop in a bronze Rolls Royce before a soiree of spaghetti and dancing ensues with a dress code that comprises sweater vests, ruffled shirts, cheetah print suits, bucket hats and bug-eyed sunglasses.
Elaborating on the new collaboration Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele explains,
“It was beautiful to see these three men together, seemingly different but very similar. This is another chapter of this journey. With these campaigns, I am working on different ways of being elegant, and these three men embody this idea perfectly. I like to tell the story of elegance in completely arbitrary and unexpected ways. Perhaps elegance is something in the air that sometimes you are not even ready for. Male elegance can be unpredictable and strange.”
