Legendary saxophonist Pharoah Sanders has revealed that he will usher in his eightieth birthday with a live streamed concert dubbed Pharoah Sanders: Another Trip Around The Sun.
Described by Trazar Records as “an experience for the ages” and set to take place at Los Angeles concert venue Zebulon, the event will see the Coltrane alumni and spiritual icon convene with longtime collaborator Azar Lawrence, vocalist Tiffany Austin, keyboardist John Beasley, percussionist Munyungo Jackson, bassist Sekou Bunch and drummer Tony Austin for a special performance of music.
