EFG London Jazz Festival announce Barbican concerts featuring city pillars Shabaka Hutchings and SEED Ensemble

Tickets for the November 14th and 18th performances are on sale now.

EFG London Jazz Festival will make its anticipated return in November and in advance of an imminent full lineup reveal the longstanding multi-venue event organisers have taken to social media to announce the first wave of artists appearing within their 2020 programme.

Detailing two concerts set to unfold at East London’s illustrious Barbican Centre, the festival confirm that November 14th will see Cassie Kinoshi’s Mercury Prize nominated SEED Ensemble share a performance that celebrates the career and looming 80th birthday of Coltrane alumni Pharoah Sanders, whilst on November 18th lauded saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings – best known for his work with Sons Of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming – will convene with the Britten Sinfonia chamber orchestra for an exploration of selected works by Aaron Copland and Igor Stravinsky.

The 28th iteration of EFG London Jazz Festival will take place over ten days running from November 13th to 22nd. On September 24th at 8pm GMT a digital launch will outline the festival’s full 2020 lineup.
