Performing 2019 single ‘Patience’ and songs from The Slow Rush.
Tame Impala‘s Kevin Parker has shared a new live performance for the latest instalment in NPR’s famed Tiny Desk Concerts series.
Recorded from Parker’s Australian home studio with accompaniment from cohorts Jay Watson and Dominic Simper, the performance sees an arsenal of synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and sequencers utilised to craft live reworks of the lauded musician’s 2019 single ‘Patience’ and two songs from The Slow Rush.
Deploying reverb-laden claps, squelching synth bass and ethereal piano motifs to conjure imagery awash with the euphoric gaze of 90s club culture, see Parker’s performance unfold below.
