Kamaal Williams has announced the release of his sophomore solo album.
Slated for arrival in July through Williams’ own Black Focus imprint, Wu Hen takes its title from the nickname bestowed upon Williams as a child by his grandmother. The album features contributions from Lauren Faith, Mach-Hommy and revered LA multi-instrumentalist Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.
A genre-defying and groove-heavy precursor to the project’s full release that draws from jazz and club culture in equal measure, hear ‘One More Time’ below.
Wu Hen releases on July 24th via Black Focus. Pre-order the album on various physical formats, including silver and red vinyl pressings here.
