Bryndon Cook has shared a new single under his Starchild & The New Romantic alias.
The NYC-based singer and multi-instrumentalist has accrued a wealth of accolades relative to his notably young age, first entering the public’s peripheral vision at the start of the decade when joining R&B luminary Solange Knowles‘ live band and subsequently journeying across the globe in that position until ultimately assuming the role of bandleader, all whilst building a collaborative portfolio with respected contemporaries such as Dev Hynes, Kindness and Porches. Cook released his debut album Language in 2018 to positive reviews, a concise and crystalline expression of his own identity.
Resurfacing to share a new single from his as yet unannounced sophomore album, ‘Mess Around’ radiates through its tasteful arrangement of triumphant horns, warm synth pads and Cook’s satin vocals.
