Crafted with the support of several respected contemporaries including Mac DeMarco and Stones Throw’s John Carroll Kirby, ‘Second To None’ offers a compelling juxtaposition through its soul-baring lyrical themes and warm, comforting sonics. Centring around an earworm chord progression, Caulfield’s dulcet vocals serve as a conduit for addressing the regularity of death and the importance of cherishing those that you love whilst they remain present.
