John Carroll Kirby has released a new album entitled Conflict. The LA musician shared the project – noted to have been created one year ago – in response to the current pandemic that the world collectively faces.

Comprising sparse compositions that deploy delicate piano movements embellished by thoughtful colourings of woodwind and electronics, Conflict offers a brief moment of respite amid a time of uncertainty. Listen below.

Conflict arrives in advance of Kirby’s first full-length album released under the Stones Throw Records umbrella. A juxtaposition to the gentle musings of Conflict, My Garden is preceded by the previously heard singles ‘Blueberry Beads’ and ‘By The Sea’.

My Garden releases on April 24th via Stones Throw Records. Pre-order the project on vinyl here.
