New York MC Princess Nokia has announced the release of two new albums. Everything Is Beautiful and Everything Sucks are scheduled for release on February 26th via Platoon.
The former was recorded over a two year period in New York, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico revolving predominantly around live instrumentation including that of jazz aficionado and Kendrick Lamar collaborator Terrace Martin, whilst the latter was created over one week in New York with longtime collaborator Chris Lare.
Preceding album release day the bone-rattling bass of ‘Practice’ and sunshine-soaked groove of ‘Green Eggs & Ham’ reaffirm Nokia, real name Destiny Frasqueri’s dexterity and aptitude for exploring disparate sounds.
