Marking the first instalment in Albarn and co.’s new Song Machine series.
This week virtual band Gorillaz began teasing the release of new music as part of an ongoing collaborative project slated to unfold throughout the year.
Now just two days after the first cryptic videos surfaced, the band have shared a new song entitled ‘Momentary Bliss’ which sees Damon Albarn and co. pair with Mercury Prize-nominated MC slowthai and punk rock duo Slaves.

The song marks the first release from a new project dubbed Song Machine which the band elaborate will see them deviate from the conventional album cycle, instead releasing collaborative singles sporadically throughout the year alongside videos that document the creative process and feature interviews with each release’s respective collaborator.
