The new Leeds-based septet features members of Hookworms, Virginia Wing, Cowtown and Mucky Sailor.
Based in the musical hotbed of Leeds Holodrum are a newly formed septet comprising a number of integral figures from West Yorkshire’s DIY communities.
From the brazen, ship wheel-brandishing noise rock of Mucky Sailor and Deerhoofisms of Cowtown to the rattling krautrock of Hookworms, Holodrum’s debut single ‘No Dither’ sees its seven members channel the punk sensibilities of their past projects in to the unmistakable pulse of early eighties New York City at its zenith for exhilarating results.
The unrelenting percussive interplay, bubbling sequences and scorched, angular guitars within serve as a precursor to the project’s first live shows which are due to unfold in November and December.
