The $100 DIY device releases to the public in November.

Following a preview shown at Super Booth in May, KORG have officially revealed details of their new DIY synthesizer kit.
Releasing as part of the company’s Nu:Tekt line, the NTS-1 is a programmable digital synthesizer that offers fans a hands-on approach to building and sound shaping through a solder-free, self-assembly kit that includes all of the required tools.
Within its compact enclosure the NTS-1 utilises a ribbon keyboard and boasts a wealth of capabilities for its low price point. Among its specs are a digital oscillator inspired by the MULTI engine found in the company’s Prologue and Minilogue synthesizers, one envelope generator, three LFOs, a flexible arpeggiator and a host of onboard effects including reverb, delay, chorus, flanger and phase. Furthermore the NTS-1 is compatible with logue-SDK, allowing users to run custom oscillators created for the Prologue and Minilogue.
Ahead of the device’s November release KORG have shared three videos; a promo, an assembly tutorial and a seventeen minute product review by Loopop. Watch below and discover more on the NTS-1 here.
