Taking My Time To Be arrives on September 27th.
Amid a busy schedule of writing and recording sessions for his first album as an official member of The Orielles, Welsh musician Alex Stephens has inked a deal with independent label Melodic Records for the release of his amorous and whimsical solo endeavours under the Strawberry Guy moniker.
Taking My Time To Be marks the first collection of songs released by Stephens and succeeds a string of lone tracks that were modestly uploaded to the internet over a two year period with subsequent streams now reaching in excess of one million.
Preceding the project’s full release, lead single ‘Mrs Magic’ imparts a dreamy and ephemeral moment of respite from the country’s weary economic state through woozy synths that arouse a contemplative mood. Listen below.
