Ezra Collective keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones has announced the release of a new solo album entitled Turn To Clear View.

Landing in September via Gilles Peterson’s revered Brownswood label with contributions from a number of London’s most formidable contemporary players including Oscar Jerome, Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd, the forthcoming LP is said to blend “bass-heavy dub, contemporary club culture and Armon-Jones’ background as a pioneering force in the modern jazz scene”.

Preceding the LP, lead single ‘Yellow Dandelion’ begins as a downtempo Summer jam that bears a shapeshifting pulse à la D’Angelo’s Voodoo before unfolding to reveal a realm of space age funk awash with dexterous solos swathed in heady effects.

Turn To Clear View releases on September 20th via Brownswood. Pre-order the album on blue, black or clear vinyl here.
