UK jazz septet Nérija are set to release their first full-length project on August 2nd.

Entitled Blume, the group’s debut album succeeds a 2016 EP and subsequent three year period spent forging individual paths and further honing chops both within solo projects and other collectives. Reconvening as what should now be considered a supergroup that boasts linchpins of the London jazz community, Nérija’s Jazz FM award-winning Nubya Garcia, Sheila Maurice-Grey and Cassie Kinoshi of KOKOROKO, Rosie Turton, Shirley Tetteh, Lizy Exell and Rio Kai are preparing to make good on a freshly inked deal with lauded independent label Domino Recording Company.

Preceding the album’s release, new single ‘Last Straw’ sees Nérija employ dizzying horn and woodwind interplay over an ecstatic, rudiment heavy and ever-changing rhythmic bed.
