Tyler, The Creator teases the arrival of new music

The cryptic 50 second visual follows speculation from fans that a new album will materialise this year.

On Wednesday Tyler, The Creator updated his YouTube channel with a new and untitled video.

The 50 second long visual presents duplicates of Tyler silently and motionlessly listening to a loop of previously unheard music. Overdriven synths repeat before a menacing groove and Tyler’s falsetto enter in the closing moments of the video.

The new upload arrives after speculation began to arise that Tyler, The Creator would release a new album in 2019. On April 26th Sony released documentation to the public that related to the financial quarter ending June 30th and mentions an as-yet unannounced project from Tyler, The Creator. Comments in response to the video from collaborators Steve Lacy of The Internet and singer-songwriter Solange seemingly confirm the tentative claims of a new project.

Tyler’s last full-length studio project Flower Boy arrived in 2017.
