News of the band’s third album comes following the departure of longtime member Devin Ruben Perez.
New York’s DIIV have revealed that their long-awaited third LP will release in 2019. The as-yet untitled project marks their first in three years and follows 2016’s Is The Is Are.
Sharing the news in an Instagram post alongside a new photo of the band, it was acknowledged by many that longtime DIIV member Devin Ruben Perez was noticeably absent from the shot. A representative for the band has since confirmed that DIIV have parted ways with Perez following racist, homophobic, sexist and anti-semitic comments that were made by the bassist on popular internet forum 4chan in 2014.
