The Steve Lacy, Mac DeMarco and Omar Apollo-featuring release oozes space age funk and sultry R&B.

The sophomore album from Matt Martians of R&B stalwarts The Internet has arrived.
The Last Party was written over a two week period following the rigorous touring schedule that supported The Internet’s 2018 album Hive Mind and features contributions from likeminded contemporaries Mac DeMarco, Omar Apollo and Dreamboy Oscar in addition to fellow Internet members Steve Lacy and Patrick Paige II.
Lyrically serving as a healing mechanism for the dissolution of a romantic relationship, Martians’ realisations are placed against sun-soaked, space age funk and sultry R&B arrangements. The juxtaposition consequently allows the producer’s ruminations to feel triumphant throughout and never woeful.
