The End Of Radio compiles two rare broadcasts.

Shellac are set to compile two rare Peel session broadcasts on a new album entitled The End Of Radio.
The noise rock band led by famed recording engineer Steve Albini made the announcement on Tuesday via a mail out to fans.
Of the two comprising broadcasts, the first took place in July 1994, the same year that Shellac released their acclaimed debut album At Action Park. Three of the four songs featured in the session – ‘Canada’, ‘Disgrace’ and ‘Spoke’ – did not see an official release until over ten years later on 2007’s Excellent Italian Greyhound, whilst the fourth track ‘Crow’ featured on the band’s aforementioned debut.
The second broadcast took place in 2004 as Shellac performed live in front of an intimate audience at the BBC’s recently closed Maida Vale studio. Three of the featured songs – ‘The End Of Radio’, ‘Steady As She Goes’ and ‘Paco’ – also later featured on Excellent Italian Greyhound three years later.
In addition to their live double album, Shellac revealed that new music will arrive soon. The band are shortly set to embark upon their annual appearance at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound.
The End Of Radio releases via Touch & Go Records on June 14th. Pre-order the album here.
