East London’s formidable brass-led collective Hackney Colliery Band are gearing up for the release of a new full-length project.

Landing on June 7th, Collaborations: Volume One sees the genre-defying group and their horn-centric compositional works play host to a wealth of established collaborators including Tom Rogerson of math rock trio Three Trapped Tigers and Ethiopian jazz linchpin Mulatu Astatke.

Preceding the album’s release, new single ‘Netsanet’ is a propulsive exercise of Astatke’s Ethio-jazz stylings that bears an unshakeable groove and tasteful vibraphone embellishments.

In support of their forthcoming LP, Hackney Colliery Band are set to fulfil a string of UK tour dates including an album launch party at Soho’s famed Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. View the full itinerary below.
