The multi-instrumentalist has recently teased the arrival of his solo debut LP.

Grammy award-winning multi-instrumentalist Steve Lacy has returned with new music in tow.
Gaining broader recognition as a key component of The Internet and establishing himself as a household name in the production world following contributions to records by Kendrick Lamar, Solange and Ravyn Lenae, Lacy has opted to release solo works sparingly in the time between his breadth of collaborative efforts.
To date Lacy’s 2017 extended play Steve Lacy’s Demo has remained the greatest undiluted insight in to his psyche, however with the release of a full-length solo album drawing closer the Compton-born musician has unveiled the LP’s first single.
An ode to the throws of passion, ‘N Side’ sees a Casiotone-resemblant drum loop and simplistic, jazz-flecked guitar chords placed against a billow of Lacy’s velvety vocal arrangements.

Earlier in the evening The Internet acknowledged via Twitter that two full-length solo albums would arrive from members of the band in April and May. Though it wasn’t confirmed who would release new music, the ensuing release of Lacy’s new single ‘N Side’ suggests that his previously teased debut album will arrive shortly.
Last week, a lauded collaboration between Lacy, Matt Martians, GoldLink and André 3000 surfaced online following two years of teasers and discussion.
