The new music precedes Kevin Parker’s appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Tame Impala have returned with their first new music in four years.
On the band’s slow-burning new single ‘Patience’, Parker forges a psychedelic imprint on disco whilst traversing through billows of grandiose piano, heavily effected synthesizers and stoned out congas.

The release precedes Tame Impala’s Saturday Night Live debut which takes place on March 30th and will presumably see ‘Patience’ performed live alongside more new material.
Parker recently teased the release of new music via social media as Tame Impala’s slew of scheduled festival appearances draw closer.
In the time since 2015’s Currents Parker has released collaborative works with Theophilus London, Mark Ronson and Travis Scott in addition to producing two full-length projects from fellow Australian band Pond.
