Fans speculate as the singer launches an elusive BlackPlanet social media account featuring new lyrics and photography.

Solange Knowles has revealed a mysterious new account on long-running social media platform BlackPlanet.
The page features a wealth of new photos, videos and what appears to be lyrics that all pay homage to her Houston, Texas beginnings, sparking further rumours that a follow-up to Solange’s sprawling 2016 masterpiece A Seat At The Table is imminent.
Until recently Solange remained tight-lipped regarding details of new music, only divulging that she had spent time in the studio with The Internet‘s Steve Lacy. In the final months of 2018 the singer-songwriter broke her silence, confirming in a profile for The New York Times that her fourth album was completed following recording sessions which had taken place in New Orleans, Topanga Canyon, and Jamaica.
Discussing what direction the sonic scope of her new album has taken, Solange elaborated “There is a lot of jazz at the core, but with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.”
