‘Sweet William’ features on the forthcoming Chris Cohen LP releasing via Captured Tracks.
American singer-songwriter Chris Cohen has revealed a slew of tour dates that expand upon an existing itinerary in support his forthcoming self-titled third album.
The extended tour schedule will see Cohen perform new music in Berlin, Hamburg, Manchester, London and more.
Accompanying the tour reveal is the third lifting from Cohen’s new album entitled ‘Sweet William’ which much like the other comprising works of his solo discography, boasts subdued and delicate psychedelic pop balladry alongside gentle, meandering vocals.
Chris Cohen was recorded over a two year period between sessions at the multi-instrumentalist’s own Lincoln Heights studio and Tropico Beauties in Glendale, California. The self-titled effort marks a turning point in Cohen’s solo output, featuring collaboration with musical contemporaries for the first time on music released under his own name that bears results with new textural depths. Furthermore, the album’s subject matter presents Cohen at his most transparent and unflinching as he candidly addresses the dynamics of family life amid the eventual divorce of his parents.
