Following a year of impressive solo endeavours and a touring schedule in support of several genre-defying EPs that culminated with a sold out performance to 2400 heads at Camden’s KOKO, Ezra Collective have revealed that they will release their debut album in 2019.

You Can’t Steal My Joy lands on April 26th and will feature guest appearances from Jorja Smith, Loyle Carner and Brownswood signees KOKOROKO.

Preceding the album is its shuffling and resolute first single ‘Quest For Coin’. Regarding the song’s lyrical matter, drummer Femi Koleoso elaborates,

“Quest For Coin is about the pursuit of money but not losing your soulfulness in the process. You know when you can’t afford the train, so you get the bus and meet a beautiful stranger who talks to you about your saxophone case; yeah, that. Basically city life, London life.”

Tune in below.

You Can’t Steal My Joy releases via Enter The Jungle on April 26th. Pre-order the bits on white vinyl here.
