The cosmic explorers’ fourth LP lands on May 3rd.

Flamingods have revealed a Spring tour itinerary that aligns with the arrival of a new album entitled Levitation.
After drumming up significant interest in their brand of exotic psychedelia that utilises a broad spectrum of instruments from around the globe, the group’s fourth album is set to release on May 3rd courtesy of UK label Moshi Moshi Records who have served as a platform for the likes of Friendly Fires, Bloc Party and Hot Chip previously.
Discussing the music that informed their new long-player, the band state that Levitation was “Inspired largely by the disco, funk and psychedelic sounds coming out of the Middle East and South Asia in the 70s.”
Where the album differs from previous works, is in its writing process as Flamingods now possess a firm geographical base in London following years of overseas collaboration as two core members lived in Bahrain.
Preceding Levitation is its motorik and sun-drenched lead single ‘Marigold’ which is online for streaming now. Listen and view the band’s forthcoming tour dates – including a Village Underground performance that marks their largest headline slot to date – in support of the album below.
