The band’s first release since the departure of long-time bassist Walter Gervers will arrive in March.

After much speculation it has been confirmed that the fifth and sixth albums from Oxford’s math-turned-stadium rockers Foals will arrive in 2019.
The band revealed via their social media channels on Monday morning that Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost is set to release in two instalments, with the first arriving on March 8th and the second following in Autumn.
Alongside the announcement of new music came a cryptic teaser clip directed by Albert Moya that features an atmospheric, arpeggiated synthesizer line playing throughout before being abruptly ended by the introduction of a cutting distorted guitar in the video’s closing moments.
Watch the clip below.
Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost succeeds the band’s 2015 album What Went Down and marks their first release as a quartet following the departure of long-time bassist Walter Gervers, who played with Foals since their formation in 2005. Of Gervers’ departure, the band wrote that “The parting has been sad but we remain firm friends” in a press statement.
In the time following What Went Down and its subsequent tours, frontman Yannis Philippakis has realigned his focus to running his primarily South London-based club night Milk.
