Kokoroko announce debut EP

Arriving via Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings in March.

After introducing themselves to the world with a striking contribution to Brownwood’s We Out Here compilation in 2018, South London group Kokoroko will release their self-titled debut on March 8th.

Preceding the release of Kokoroko is ‘Uman’, a five minute cut that aptly showcases the eight-piece band’s deftness for carving blissful and trance-inducing melodic moments from the intersection where afrobeat and jazz meet.

Also featuring on the four track release is the lauded and highly streamed (Try 18 million times for size) ‘Abusey Junction’ from Gilles Peterson’s previously mentioned 2018 compilation.
