Erykah Badu, Tame Impala and Solange will head up next year’s bill.
Primavera Sound have announced their full 2019 lineup and quelle surprise; it is incredible. The festival will return to Barcelona’s Parc Del Forum for its nineteenth run between May 30th and June 1st with an unparalleled bill of artists in tow.
Set to headline the proceedings are Erykah Badu, Tame Impala and Solange.
Also among those appearing in Barcelona next Spring are FKA Twigs, Nas, Mac DeMarco, Deerhunter, Homeshake, Peggy Gou, Cardi B, Princess Nokia, Sons Of Kemet, Slowthai, Tierra Whack and Pusha T to name but a few. An eclectic lineup by all accounts.
In an official press statement, the organisers of Primavera Sound have addressed their concentrated efforts to present a lineup to their audience that champions gender equality.
“That in a line up there be equality between female and male artists should be normal.
That gender barriers and pigeonholing be dismantled should be normal.
That all stages, schedules and proposals be provocative should be normal.
That the music of the new generations be embraced without forgetting how we got here should be normal.”
