Since 2013 Peter Sagar has been influencing a generation of indie rock loving millennials to immerse themselves in the worlds of 90s and mid 00s R&B with his brand of sultry and ruminative pop created under the Homeshake moniker.

Now five years and three albums later, the Montreal-based musician is currently readying the release of his fourth album Helium. Following the recently released ‘Like Mariah’, Sagar has now shared the LP’s second cut ‘Nothing Could Be Better’.

As with the previously heard ‘Like Mariah’, ‘Nothing Could Be Better’ utilises the warm and ethereal sounding electronics that have become Sagar’s sonic bedrock to articulate another unequivocally catchy ode to love.

Of the song’s lyrical subject matter, Sagar said in conversation with The Fader “Sometimes on the way to a social function you gotta ditch and hang out with your sweety instead because love is beautiful.”
