Tokyo’s Kikagaku Moyo are currently amid a tour of the United States in support of new album Masana Temples, and during their stop in Seattle the five-piece group performed live in session for famed radio station KEXP.

The band stand firmly at the forefront of Japan’s position in the current psychedelic musical renaissance, having developed a cult following over the course of six years in response to four full-length albums that blend acid folk, krautrock rhythms, swathes of fuzz and sitar-driven drones to great effect with divinity and stimulation of the third eye in mind.

Providing an insight in to the sonic territory covered in Masana Temples, the band’s KEXP session features two new album cuts alongside ‘Tree Smoke’ from their acclaimed 2013 self-titled LP.
