Whether he’s hitting THC tabs on an airplane or bringing home bread from watching Ancient Aliens and sampling the world’s finest cuisine, Action Bronson has always been the master of his own destiny. The Queens hailing rapper recently announced a return to independent status following his departure from long-time label Atlantic Records and with the news came a preview of new music.
Bronson’s first independent effort in five years, entitled White Bronco will arrive this fall and features production by Daringer, Knxwledge and Party Supplies. Preceding White Bronco is the record’s titular track which is available to stream below.
The track begins with an unassuming bed of jazz-inflected keys and saxophone before a boom-bap drum groove and Bronson’s refined vocal delivery are introduced to flip the pace and shake the frame.
‘White Bronco’ is a brief and concise reminder that Action Bronson is still at the top of his game with or without a label, translated through his ability to make shit talking sound as eloquent as the Queen’s English.
