My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind will arrive on wax in November.

Japanese animation powerhouse Studio Ghibli have announced that the soundtracks from several of their beloved motion pictures will be pressed to vinyl this year. Releasing courtesy of Tokuma, physical editions of Joe Hisaishi’s scores for Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984), Castle in the Sky (1986) and My Neighbor Totoro (1988) will arrive at a record shop near you in November. The latter film celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this year and was recently confirmed to receive to an imminent theatrical re-release.
In addition to pressings of the original film scores, Tokuma have confirmed the release of a “sound book” version of the My Neighbor Totoro score that will feature compositions from the score re-recorded on violin, guitar and flute, as well as symphonic renditions of the scores for Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Castle in the Sky.
