Erykah Badu is the latest to grace the stage for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series. The Neo-soulstress joins the ranks with Tyler, The Creator, Roy Ayers, Tower Of Power and countless others who have been enlisted to perform behind the famed desk during a year in which the Washington-based media company have pulled out all the stops.

Badu’s began her two-song set in typical fashion, rolling off a list of her spiritual aliases before eventually succumbing to the bass vamp from Baduizm opener ‘Rimshot’. Following the aforementioned, Badu closed the set with a sprawling eleven minute rendition of Mama’s Gun closing track ‘Green Eyes’ that aptly showcased her seven piece band’s aptitude and disposition for jazz.
