2018 has shaped up to be a pivotal year for Leeds-based post-punk group Drahla. The band recently signed with acclaimed independent label Captured Tracks following a slew of well-received singles produced by MJ of Hookworms, an appearance at Robert Smith’s Meltdown festival and BBC sessions courtesy of Marc Riley, with whom the band have earned the stamp of approval.

Now, the band return with ‘Twelve Divisions Of The Day’, their first offering of new music since tying the knot with Mike Sniper’s Brooklyn-based label. The single, which follows a tape compilation of every song released by the band to date arrives with an accompanying visual which is available to watch below.

Speaking of the visual, singer/guitarist Luciel Brown said the following,

“The video is an abstracted representation of process and routine. This is depicted through the recreation of the cover artwork and repetitive nature of the content used.”

Additionally, Drahla have shared a new tour schedule which sees the band make their American debut, taking place throughout October and November alongside Wax Chattels as part of Captured Tracks’ tenth birthday celebrations. View the dates, as well as the band’s existing UK tour itinerary below.
